Eagles Look to Continue One Streak, While Halting Another

With the Washington Redskins coming to visit this Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will attempt to win three straight games for the first time since the 2011 season. They will also look to put an end to a home losing streak that has now reached 10.

The first time these teams squared off, LeSean McCoy stole the show, rushing for 184 yards and a touchdown in an Eagles victory. Coming off another spectacular performance last week, McCoy will look to keep rolling against a Washington defense that has struggled mightily this season.

Nick Foles enters the contest riding high as he has posted the greatest two-game stretch in NFL history in terms of quarterback ratings. Can he continue to thrive? Will Riley Cooper and DeSean Jackson keep producing one big play after another? What about the defense? Can this defense keep out-performing expectations?

Prior to the game, get coaching legend Dick Vermeil’s thoughts on these questions and more during Ask the Coach, sponsored by Penn Orthopaedics. Tune in to the Eagles Countdown to Kickoff show on SportsRadio 94 WIP to listen to the interview. If you’ve missed any of Coach Vermeil’s discussions with thus far this season, check them out here.
