The multidisciplinary Penn Musculoskeletal Center, at Penn Medicine University City, transforms the already exceptional care offered by Penn Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, Musculoskeletal Radiology and Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP). The Center was designed to create an ideal environment for integrated patient-focused musculoskeletal care and collaboration among health professionals.
At the Penn Musculoskeletal Center, patients experience the convenience of seeing all musculoskeletal subspecialists in one easy to access location. The Center is also comprised of six state-of-the-art operating rooms and peri-operative care support services. For patients with other musculoskeletal disorders like arthritis or osteoporosis, Penn Rheumatology is located adjacent to the Center for better coordination of care. In addition, there is a state-of-the-art Physical Therapy Center, with same day options and available consults by surgeons or therapists.
An advanced and comprehensive radiology center is located in the Penn Medicine University City, directly adjacent to the Musculoskeletal Institute. This advanced radiology center will have services such as digital x-ray, computed tomography (CT scan), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI scan) and ultrasound. Musculoskeletal radiologists are on site for interdisciplinary collaborations to develop cutting edge treatment plans for musculoskeletal disorders.
